New Year, New Me?

Welcome to 2017! Like most who enter the New Year, it is common to create goals that one aspires to achieve . Whether it be by creating a note on your phone or tapping a perfectly outlined ‘New Year New Me’ list on your fridge, this trend of starting anew is shared by many. If you haven’t partaken in this activity, yet desire to do so, here is an example as to what one may look like:

  1. Wake up every morning at 7 AM and jog for 30 minutes
  2. Eat at least one serving of vegetables and two serving of fruits daily
  3. Check e-mail twice a day
  4. Make time for yourself

Once you’ve made a list, such as this, you may come to realize the reality of the goals you’ve made. You may find that waking up at 7 AM is impossible, and slightly unrealistic. You may also find that jogging hurts your body in ways you don’t enjoy, and why do something that hurts you. Added onto all of this, people are stressful, and you may come to realize checking your e-mail just adds to that stress, and you appreciate yourself enough not to deal with the those who waste your time.

Keep it real folks, and know that when you want to change, it doesn’t have to be at the start of January to do so.
